How to acquire customers without a budget

If you have a product that people want, you don’t need a big marketing budget to acquire customers. The old adage “you have to spend money to make money” doesn’t always apply to marketing. There are ways to acquire customers without spending a penny.
Before considering customer acquisition strategies, you fundamentally need to have a product that actually delivers value to your customer. Have you got it? Good, than you can proceed.
You can start searching places where people post about problems that your product or your service can solve. Some examples? Facebook groups, Quora or Twitter. But also niche forums or blog. Use this existing traffic and contact people offering your solutions.
When you find new clients it’s important incentivize you users to share. The word of mouth is all. A pratical stategy could be to provide $1 when they share on Twitter or Facebook, or also to create viral interactions such as quizzes. Another strategy, if you provide a service, is work for free if the customer has a huge network of target clients.
Create affiliate programs, they can work, expecially if you only pay when someone make a purchase. Expand your network. This is essential. Try to contact bloggers and give free products in exchange for reviews. Using the strategy of building relationships with influencers you can multiply your traffic. But don’t forget your friend and family. They can support you.
You should sell in person your idea. Go to industry events to network with potential customers. Go to local meetup groups with target audiences and show them why they should buy your product or your service, how it can solve their problems. Go door to door and don’t be scared if the answer is “I’m not interested”. You have to be the first person who believe in what you are selling.
